​Need a refresher on your weight lifting form? There are few disadvantages to weight training. However, there are two disadvantages that will affect your overall performance, muscle gains and could potentially cause injuries. Those two are improper form & technique and bad advice.  A lot of people fall into bad habits when they are weight training.  The main issue people have is cheating by way of momentum (which could cause a muscular imbalance) but some just do the exercises completely wrong. Some are new to the gym and don't know where to start so they do the best they can.

 

There are so many benefits to lifting weights! It will strengthen your muscles and improve your overall health. Your goal should always be to work the intended muscle group in the most effective, safe way to achieve your goals.
